Pulled Ham Instructions

Oven, Indirect Grill, or Electric Smoker

You may watch many videos on the Internet saying to add a rub to your ham.  We do not recommend that, as it could make your ham too salty.

Preheat to 250°F.

Place your ham in a metal or aluminum pan & then place in your preferred cooking appliance and cook for 4 hours or until you have an internal temp of around 160°F.

Remove ham and add 3 cups of water and top the ham with our Maple Glaze.

Cover the ham with foil and cook at 300°F for another 5 to 6 hours or until an internal temp of 205°F

Shred the ham and place in another bowl without the cooking liquid.  You can add some cooking liquid back to the ham however be careful as this could make it too salty.

Pulled ham is great on sandwiches or a pile on the plate with any of our BBQ sauces on top or you can mix the BBQ sauce in with the ham similar to pulled pork.

Depending on the ham size cooking times will vary. For our cook we used an 18lb bone-in ham.
